The Bible says we are formed for fellowship and therefore need to be relating to other people. At the same time certain aspects of fellowship cannot be experienced in a crowd. True fellowship tends to have its fullest expression amongst a small group of people. It’s no coincidence that Jesus had a small group that he hung around with for mutual support (amongst other things).
Acorn Community Church is a Church of small groups. We believe the most effective way of having a growing and caring, yet outward looking community is by offering every person an opportunity to participate in a small group during the week.
When are they on?
Currently we have small groups running on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings in a variety of locations.
What are they like?
Each Small Group varies, but they tend to meet in homes and include refreshments, socialising, bible study & discussion, sharing and prayer. Groups usually involve 6-12 people.
How can I get involved in a Small Group?
If you would like to know more or be part of a small group then please speak with the Small Group Co-ordinator, Colin Stanbury or one of the other Church leaders.

"I’ve been involved in church wherever I’ve lived, and have been coming along
to Acorn for about 15 months. By being part of a Small Group and the friendly atmosphere,
I feel at home at Acorn" |
